Need coverage or do you want to waive your school coverage?

If you are a student looking for coverage, Aetna Student Health℠ has a plan for you. Aetna Student Health gives you access to care by working closely with your school and with a network of doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and specialists throughout the country.


Please note the organization that sponsors your group health plan qualifies for a religious accommodation with respect to the Federal requirement to cover contraceptive services without cost sharing. Coverage under this group health plan will not include coverage of contraceptive services.

All International Students Holding a F1 or J1 Visa (regardless of registered credit hours): are automatically enrolled in the CUA Student Medical Insurance Plan unless an online waiver is accepted by the posted deadline.

All J1 Visa students will be required to provide coverage documents and/or other records demonstrating that your current medical plan meets the school’s requirements for waiving the student medical insurance plan.

Students attending the John Paul II Institute, Dominican House of Studies or Washington Theological Union are eligible to enroll voluntarily in to the CUA Student Medical Insurance Plan by the posted deadline.

Please note: You will no longer receive an ID card by mail - ID cards will be available to you via the web after your enrollment is updated. You can print your ID card or access your ID card using your smartphone. Please contact Aetna Student Health at 866-577-6692 if you feel you need a plastic ID card.

You can enroll in the medical plan or waive the medical plan coverage by using the button below. You will need your school issued student ID number.
