Choose your health plan coverage
All students must take action on their health coverage. You can enroll in the student health insurance plan. Or, you can waive it with proof of other qualifying coverage.
Be sure to make your selection before the deadline to avoid automatic enrollment and charges.

Enroll in student health coverage
Need health insurance for the school year? The student health plan offers nationwide coverage designed for your needs.
To enroll, you’ll need your school-issued student ID number.
Waive your student health coverage
Already have health insurance? If you’re covered under another qualifying plan—like a parent’s, spouse’s, or employer’s—you can waive the student health plan.
To waive coverage, you’ll need your school-issued student ID number.
Undergraduate Student Health Insurance
All full-time Traditional Undergraduate students (enrolled in 12 or more credit hours) are automatically enrolled in the Jacksonville University Student Health Insurance Plan. The annual premium is added to tuition billing upon fall registration unless proof of comparable coverage is provided. Eligible online students may voluntarily enroll.
Graduate Student Health Insurance
Domestic Graduate Students are eligible if they are:
- Enrolled in a 16-week program with 6 or more credit hours
- Enrolled in an 8-week program with 3 or more credit hours
International Students
Jacksonville University requires all registered international students to enroll in the school-sponsored insurance plan each academic year. Enrollment is automatic for all eligible international students.
