All students must take action on their health coverage. You can enroll in the student health insurance plan. Or, you can waive it with proof of other qualifying coverage.
Be sure to make your selection before the deadline to avoid automatic enrollment and charges.

Enroll in student health coverage
Need health insurance for the school year? The student health plan offers nationwide coverage designed for your needs.
To enroll, you’ll need your school-issued student ID number.
Waive your student health coverage
Already have health insurance? If you’re covered under another qualifying plan—like one from a parent, spouse, or employer—you can waive the student health plan. To waive coverage, you’ll need your school-issued student ID number.

Notice for Eastern Virginia Medical School Students
Are you an EVMS student? If so, don’t use the online “Enroll” link above. It won’t place you in the correct medical school plan.
EVMS handles enrollment through the university to make sure all requirements are met. If you select the ODU Voluntary Graduate Plan online, you’ll be enrolled in the wrong plan.
How to enroll: Email your Plan Administrator at VHSHR@ODU.edu for the necessary enrollment instructions.
