All students must take action on their health coverage. You can enroll in the student health insurance plan. Or, you can waive it with proof of other qualifying coverage.
Be sure to make your selection before the deadline to avoid automatic enrollment and charges.

Enrollment options
Please use the Enroll now button for the following plans:
- Graduate student medical
- International OPT medical
- Dependent enrollments
- Voluntary dental PPO
- Vision plans
To enroll, you’ll need your school-issued student ID number.
Waive your student health coverage
Already have health insurance? If you’re covered under another qualifying plan—like one from a parent, spouse, or employer—you can waive the student health plan.
Waiver options
Please use the Waive coverage button if you are a:
- Medical student
- Domestic Health Professional Student
- Nursing student
To waive coverage, you’ll need your school-issued student ID number.
Important Dates
Enrollment and Waivers for the 2026–2027 academic year will be available starting July 15, 2026.
Notice for Eastern Virginia Medical School Students
Were you an EVMS student? If so, don’t use the online “Enroll” link above. It won’t place you in the correct medical school plan.
Medical student enrollment is managed through the university to make sure all requirements are met. If you select the ODU Voluntary Graduate Plan online, you’ll be enrolled in the wrong plan.
How to enroll: Email your Plan Administrator at VHSHR@ODU.edu for the necessary enrollment instructions.
