Aetna Student Health℠ gives you access to quality care nationwide, working closely with your school to meet your unique needs as a student.
Enroll in student health coverage
Need health insurance for the school year? The student health plan offers nationwide coverage designed for your needs.
Before enrolling, you must complete the Health Insurance Enrollment Form on the Health Promotion website. Only USF students can enroll in the plan. Dependents can’t enroll in the plan.
To enroll, you’ll need your school-issued student ID number.
Waive your student health coverage
Already have health insurance? If you’re covered under another qualifying plan—like a parent’s, spouse’s, or employer’s—you can waive the student health plan. To waive coverage, you’ll need your school-issued student ID number.
If you waive in the spring semester, the waive is valid for just the spring semester. You’ll need to waive again the following fall.
Fall waiver deadline is September 1, 2025.
Spring waiver deadline is February 1, 2026.
Dental savings plan
Our dental savings plan helps you keep your teeth healthy and spend less. It’s not insurance, but it gives you discounts on dental services from check-ups to major treatments. Enjoy savings at a wide network of quality dentists near you.
